Togolese energy solutions company, KYA-Energy Group, has signed a partnership agreement with Optima to deploy power solutions in Côte d’Ivoire, focusing on the data centre sector.
The energy company headquartered in Lome struck a deal with the Ivorian-based firm last week, according to reports seen by AEP.
The agreement, which forms part of KYA-Energy’s international expansion strategy, enables the two companies to explore the Ivorian market, roll out training programmes and develop joint projects.
Speaking on the partnership, Yao Azoumah, chief executive of KYA-Energy Group, said: “We began expanding internationally some time ago. After Niger, Benin and Mali, we want to take the next step in Côte d’Ivoire.”
He further added that Optima was chosen for its expertise in data centre development, an infrastructure segment that requires continuous and reliable power supply.
In addition, the partnership offers Optima access to technical support to accelerate its growth in Côte d’Ivoire.
