The agreements strengthen Infinity Power’s renewable energy pipeline across Africa, supporting new solar and storage projects as the company works toward its long-term clean energy growth ambitions.

Africa’s largest pure-play renewable energy provider, Infinity Power, has signed three agreements to support the development of renewable energy projects across South Africa and Egypt.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Africa Energy Forum in Cape Town and form part of the company’s strategy to achieve 10GW of operational capacity by 2032.
Infinity Power said it added new projects across Egypt, South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire between 2024 and 2025, increasing its development pipeline by 2.56GW of solar capacity, 200MW of wind capacity and 720MWh of battery energy storage systems.
The expanded pipeline includes 1.28GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in South Africa under Bid Window 7; 1.2GW of solar PV and 720MWh of battery energy storage projects in Aswan and Minya, Egypt; the 200MW Ras Ghareb wind farm in Egypt; and two solar PV projects with a combined capacity of 80MW under the Scaling Solar programme in Côte d’Ivoire.
As part of the latest agreements, Infinity Power signed a conditional engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract award with Sterling and Wilson for the Highveld solar PV project in South Africa.
The 285.6MWp project forms part of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) Bid Window 7 portfolio awarded to Infinity Power.
According to the company, the project is expected to supply electricity to about 167,000 homes, avoid approximately 660,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually and support local employment during construction.
Infinity Power also signed a Letter of Award with PowerChina Guizhou Engineering Co. for EPC works on the Ngwedi cluster solar PV projects. The projects have a combined capacity of 488MWp and form part of the company’s growing renewable energy portfolio in South Africa.
In Egypt, Infinity Power acknowledged the signing of a Letter of Award between the company and AIKO Energy, in collaboration with project partner Hassan Allam Utilities Energy.
The agreement covers the supply of photovoltaic modules for the 1.2GWp Nefer Minya solar project. The Letter of Award was signed earlier in the first quarter of 2026.
Infinity Power Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Nayer Fouad, said the partnerships would strengthen the company’s ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects across Africa.
“By partnering with leading global technology and engineering companies, we are strengthening our ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects efficiently and at pace across key African markets,” he said.
Chief Technical Officer, Ashish Ranjan, said the company remains focused on deploying technologies and expertise that support long-term sustainable energy systems across its markets.
